Matheus Cunha's "love" for Manchester United reportedly means he's willing to join the club even if they miss out on Champions League qualification.
The Red Devils are in a pickle, stuck in a transitional period that has been a sight for sore eyes but can be saved by winning the Europa League this week. This could have huge implications for their recruitment this summer. GIVEMESPORT sources indicate that Viktor Gyokeres could be persuaded to choose them over Arsenal if they prevail over Tottenham Hotspur in Wednesday's (May 21) final.
Sky Sports reports that Cunha isn't so fussed about whether United are in Europe's elite club competition as he thinks they are "one of the biggest clubs in the world." The Wolverhampton Wanderers forward isn't put off a move to Old Trafford despite Ruben Amorim's men sitting 16th, two places behind his current club, in the Premier League table with one game of the season remaining.

Cunha has been in red-hot form this season despite Wolves battling relegation for the majority of the campaign. He has been the talisman at Molineux, and his fine displays put many Premier League clubs on notice.
The Red Devils faced competition from four other top-flight clubs, including Arsenal and Aston Villa, and Saudi Pro League clubs were also in the race. But the Brazilian "wants to play for United," which has helped bring the move closer to completion.
United will trigger his £62.5m release clause after the season ends on Sunday (May 25). While the club and Wolves have yet to contact each other, this is expected when the campaign concludes and a "deal is close".

Cunha arrived at Molineux from Atletico Madrid in January 2023, initially on loan, before making a permanent £44m move later that summer. The Red Devils' interest extends back to the 13-cap Brazil international's days at the Wanda Metropolitano, and they spoke to his agents about a move, as per Fabrizio Romano.
Concerns have been raised over Cunha's temperament, as he has been sent off twice this season. But Wayne Rooney thinks he has "a bit of bite about him" that makes him "made for Man United" while a Wolves journalist reckons he's a "world-class" talent.
