McCollum, who averaged 21.1 points per game this NBA season, is making the trip to support his older brother, Errick McCollum.
The veteran guard joined Fenerbahce midway through the season and played a key role in the team’s turnaround.
Since arriving from Karsiyaka Izmir in January, Errick McCollum has been a steady contributor, averaging 11.5 points on efficient shooting (61.5% 2P, 39.7% 3P), along with 2.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and a performance index rating (PIR) of 11.6 in just 18 minutes per game.
CJ will join Fenerbahce’s players and their families on the team’s charter flight to Abu Dhabi.
Fenerbahce is scheduled to arrive last among the four Final Four participants, landing Wednesday night. Panathinaikos, Olympiacos, and AS Monaco all arrived on Tuesday.
Fenerbahce opted to stay in Istanbul an extra day to hold a full practice session Wednesday morning, aiming to minimize distractions before the Final Four.
The Turkish powerhouse will face Panathinaikos in the EuroLeague semifinal on May 23.
