Everton will meet with Carlos Alcaraz’s agents this week to discuss a move and work out a plan for the summer.
That’s [according to Bolavip](https://br.bolavip.com/flamengo/alcaraz-decide-permanecer-everton-flamengo-deve-fechar-venda-meia), relaying information from journalist Venê Casagrande, who reports that a meeting is planned this week to resolve the midfielder’s situation.
They explain that the ‘saga’ around Alcaraz’s future is set to come to an end. He is currently on loan at Everton from Brazilian side Flamengo.
That deal includes a clause that will turn the loan into a permanent move if certain goals are met. Reports have varied on that clause, with some stating it was six starts and others stating it is eight starts or at least 45 minutes.
Bolavip report that Alcaraz has not yet met the goal to make the deal permanent at €15m, so negotiations are needed about his future.
And according to Casagrande, those are planned for this week. He reports that Alcaraz’s agent will travel to England this week to try and solve his client’s future with Everton. Alcaraz, for his part, does not intend to return to Flamengo and wants to continue at Everton.
“According to what I found out from the agent, the tendency is for him to be bought by Everton. Alcaraz wants to stay and is happy at Everton. Let’s see if the English team can reach an agreement,” the journalist said.
Bolavip then add that if the mandatory clause isn’t activated, Everton may try to reach an agreement with Flamengo for other amounts.
What stands in their favour on that front is that the midfielder is not in the Brazilian side’s or manger Filipe Luis’ plans and, a return to Brazil has been ‘ruled out’.
Thus, there is a deal there to be done for Everton, and it seems Alcaraz’s agent is travelling this week to try and work that out.
