Liverpool appear to be at the end of their tether with Darwin Nunez.
The Uruguay international was brought in by Jurgen Klopp to be Liverpool’s answer to Erling Haaland, but unfortunately, things haven’t quite panned out like that.
Nunez has been out of favour with Arne Slot this term, with both Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz often getting chosen to lead Liverpool’s attacking line.

Additionally, as a result of his form, most Liverpool fans agree that Nunez should be sold over the summer, with Ally McCoist even admitting things need to change for the 25-year-old if he is to have a future at Anfield.
Ally McCoist says Darwin Nunez must ‘improve’ in front of goal for Liverpool
Often dubbed Captain Chaos by the Liverpool fans, it is hard to figure out what Nunez has planned when he gets on the ball.
Granted, there have been moments when his class has oozed through, but more often than not this term, he has left an awful lot to be desired.
Speaking live on talkSPORT, McCoist shared his thoughts on the performances of the Uruguay international.
“He is one of those players that I’m wanting to do well because I like the way he plays the game. He is all action,” he said.

“Plays at a high tempo, he is aggressive, he is on the front foot. You can see he wants to do well, but the little bit of quality in front of goal, we’re now at a stage where it has to improve.
“You can only be unlucky a few times.”
Liverpool should cash in on Darwin Nunez as Saudi Pro League interest ramps up
With the summer transfer window edging closer, interest in Nunez from the Saudi Pro League is gathering pace.
Klopp may have seen something special in Nunez, but as has been shown by his form over the last couple of seasons, his good performances come too irregularly.
Nunez is still only 25 years old, and while he may have plenty of potential that he could eventually fulfil, if the Reds want to keep up their dominance and defend the Premier League title next term, they need a new number nine.

The 2024-25 season of Darwin Nunez in numbers.
Florian Wirtz is the main attacker linked with Liverpool, and even though he is not a striker, it’s undeniable that the creativity the Bayer Leverkusen ace would bring to Slot’s team would be second to none.
There’s no knowing what plans Slot and Richard Hughes have for the Anfield outfit in the summer, but with the number of rumours that have already surfaced, it certainly feels like it’ll be a busy summer for the Reds.
