The Reds are Most Read: Liverpool FC takes another title in the indie chart

Despite one more weekend of the 2024/25 Premier League season left to go, Liverpool FC has already been crowned the winning club, sitting 12 points ahead of their nearest rival, Arsenal.

Taking full advantage of the early win, Reach Sport has published a celebratory in-depth look at The Reds’ season – one that is ending with the club’s 20th league win – in Liverpool FC CHAMP20NS. While NielsenIQ BookData cannot reveal sales of books in the indie sector, the ability of indie bookshops to adapt quickly to regional changes means that it is not a big surprise to see it sitting at the top of the Independent Bookshop Top 20 for the past seven days. In total – across all booksellers – the guide has sold 1,939 copies in the week, and just over 3,000 copies since it was first published on 9th May.

Last week’s indie number one – The Devils by Joe Abercrombie (Gollancz) has exited the chart entirely – reflecting its 78.5% drop in sales across the TCM as a whole. Richard Osman’s We Solve Murders (Penguin) has risen four places to 13th, but is the only one of the TCM Top 5 – which includes books from Freida McFadden, Axie Oh, Liane Moriarty and Dilly Court – to make a mark in indie bookshops this week.

Second place this week is A Steep and Savage Path from JJA Harwood (Magpie) which sold 1,512 copies in the TCM, with the majority of sales likely to have come from HarperCollins Locked Library subscription box.
