West Ham United are one of the sides showing an interest in Hamed Junior Traoré after his impressive season at AJ Auxerre.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report that West Ham are one of several sides taking an interest in the Bournemouth man.
Traoré joined the French side on a season long loan deal from Bournemouth in the summer as he continues to try and bounce back from a difficult period with the Cherries.
He joined them in a €25.62m deal in July 2023 but injuries and illness have hampered his progress at the club, leading him to join Napoli on loan in January before moving to Auxerre in the summer.
The move to France has worked out well as he’s managed ten goals and two assists in 26 games in Ligue 1 this season. FM, say he has been ‘one of the league’s revelations’ and that’s drumming up interest in him.
Nice have expressed an interest in the 25-year-old while West Ham have also ‘weighed in’ on the Ivorian’s situation. Fiorentina, Atalanta and Bologna have also shown an interest in Italy.
Bournemouth are seemingly aware of the interest and have put a €20m asking price on the attacking midfielder ahead of a potential sale this summer. That would see them recoup what they paid in 2023.
Whether West Ham or anyone else want to pay such a sum remains to be seen, of course, but the race is potentially underway.
