Report: Darwin Nunez Already Has Agreement With New Club Ahead Of Liverpool Exit

While Liverpool still may be celebrating their Premier League title victory, their attentions have already turned to reshaping their playing squad for the 2025/26 season.

It has been suggested that Arne Slot is set to make quite a few changes to his squad over the coming months, both in terms of incomings and outgoings. It is expected that Bayer Leverkusen wingback Jeremie Frimpong will seal a move to Anfield in the near future, while a left back, central midfielder, and striker could also be on the agenda.

When it comes to exit, it has already been confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold will leave the club this summer. As well as that, the likes of Harvey Elliott, Jarrel Quansah, Federico Chiesa, and Darwin Nunez have also been linked with a move away from Merseyside.

Nunez, in particular, seems all but certain to leave Liverpool. The Uruguayan has struggled to make much of an impact under Slot, finding himself frozen out of the starting XI since the turn of the year.

While Liverpool did turn down offers from Saudi Arabia for the player in January, they are expect to sanction his sale during the upcoming offseason. It seems the 25-year old already has a potential destination in mind.

Darwin Nunez has agreement with new club ahead of Liverpool exit

Spanish outlet Cadena SAR are reporting that Darwin Nunez has already made a verbal agreement with Atletico Madrid, ahead of a potential Liverpool exit this summer.

The forward has also been linked with a move to Napoli, as well as numerous clubs in the Saudi Pro League. Liverpool will be willing to sell the player this summer, although they will be hoping to bring in a sizeable fee for him considering the interest in his services.

The Saudi clubs would likely be willing to pay the largest transfer fee, although Nunez's apparent desire to move to Atletico could prove a stumbling block in that regard.

It will be interesting to see how Liverpool handle the situation over the coming weeks, with a move to Saudi Arabia likely to be their preferred outcome.
