Everton signed Carlos Alcaraz on loan during the winter transfer window, and he has quickly impressed on Merseyside.
Alcaraz arrived from Brazilian giants Flamengo, and has become a popular figure, with fans hoping that he will stay beyond the end of this season.
Everton did insert a mandatory purchase clause in his loan contract, but this would only kick in if certain conditions were met in his loan.
These requirements have not been reached, but Everton do still have an option to buy. However, there are now fresh talks set to commence over the Argentinian’s future.

Alcaraz has impressed in the Premier League
Brazilian outlet BolaVIP (21 May) has reported that a return to Brazil is ruled out for Alcaraz, and that his agent will fly to England this week to help reach an agreement for a different fee.
This could see Alcaraz stay at Everton for a lower fee than previously anticipated, which would come as a welcome surprise for David Moyes.

Alcaraz needs to play more next season
Alcaraz has shown flashes of brilliance in his limited time at Everton so far, but will be hoping for more game time next season.
He has provided four goal contributions in just six Premier League starts, either as an attacking midfielder or as a left winger.
With Abdoulaye Doucoure leaving once his deal expires, Alcaraz could be used in his midfield role instead, as a more technical and speedy option rather than one who brings more power to the middle of the park, and this could mean Everton shift style.
Iliman Ndiaye has impressed on the wings, and the prospect of both starting together in a fresh attack next season is an exciting one, and Alcaraz will be hoping for more regular starts.
It’s now down to his agent, it seems.
