3 players Everton should sign from PSR-stricken Leicester City, David Moyes already has his…

The Friedkin Group have big ambitions for Everton and are prepared to spend big money to get back into Europe.

David Moyes will be backed with a healthy summer transfer budget, with the squad in need of a major rebuild.

Ashley Young will be leaving, along with Abdoulaye Doucoure, Michael Keane, Jesper Lindstrom, Armando Broja and many more.

Idrissa Gana Gueye and Dominic Calvert-Lewin also face uncertain futures as they’ve not yet penned a new deal.

So quite clearly, there will be a lot of incomings over the coming months and with that said, here are three players they should try to sign from Leicester City, who may be forced to sell after being charged by the Premier League for breaching PSR regulations.

The Premier League has referred Leicester City to an independent commission for an alleged breach of profitability and sustainability rules (PSR) in 2023-24.

3 Leicester City players Everton should try to sign

Bilal El Khannous

Leicester City won’t be in a strong negotiating position to keep hold of their prized talent this summer and may actually be forced to sell for a discounted fee before the financial year ends in June.

Everton should take advantage of that situation and try to sign playmaker Bilal El Khannouss after his impressive debut season in the Premier League.

City outlaid £21m on El Khannouss’ signature from Genk, and he has been the main shining light, which has alerted a number of clubs, including Arsenal.

The Gunners are considering a move for the 2004-born, so it won’t be an easy deal to do for the Toffees, but if they do pull it off, it’d be a real statement of intent.

Ben Nelson

Ben Nelson has been touted as one of the best young defenders in the country since appearing on Leicester’s bench in the Europa League as a 16-year-old.

The now 21-year-old has enjoyed three successful loan spells in the EFL since then and his latest with Oxford United has piqued the interest of Chelsea.

According to John Percy, Enzo Maresca is considering making a move for his former player, whom he waxed lyrical about during his time in the East Midlands.

Everton should seriously consider launching a bid for Nelson, who could be the perfect long-term partner for Jarrad Branthwaite.

“I’d love to turn round and say we might be able to have a chance of keeping him, but I think the reality is he’s going to go to a bigger club,” Oxford manager Gary Rowett said.

“He’s probably going to end up playing for Leicester’s team if he’s not playing for a Premier League team next season. He’s got a bright future ahead of him.

Victor Kristiansen

Everton are in the market for a left-back as they look to provide Vitaliy Mykolenko with more competition next season.

It’s thought Moyes has his eye on Leicester’s Victor Kristiansen, who is a forward-thinking full-back capped by Denmark.

The Foxes shelled out £17m on Kristiansen in 2023, so they’d likely command a similar fee, if not a little less than that.

The 22-year-old was a standout performer on loan at Bologna last term.
