Liverpool fans have spotted an embarrassing gaffe made by the Premier League.
Arne Slot's side trotted to the title at a canter, with Arsenal capitulating in the final weeks of the season. The Reds are now firmly on the beach as they cruise to the end of the season, when they will finally get their hands on the trophy.
However, the name on the trophy will read differently to how it did when Virgil van Dijk last lifted English football's top flight crown, before they matched Manchester United's record as 20-time league winners.
The Premier League's X account posted a photo of the title engraving taking place, and eagle-eyed fans noticed one small difference that collectively annoyed them.
After winning in 2020, Liverpool was engraved onto the title. However, the image showed in 2025 the engraver had added Liverpool F.C.

"The lack of consistency in 'Liverpool', and 'Liverpool FC' has blown my mind here," one fan fumed. While a second said: "Put 'FC' on the 2020 one before I explode!"
"Such a dumb thing to pick out… but why does the top one say Liverpool and this one Liverpool FC," a third questioned. As a fourth commented: "How come the earlier one says Liverpool and the current one Liverpool FC? Was there a formal name change or some such?"
And another added: "Why add the F.C.? It aesthetically hurts my eyes. I’ll allow the change of font though!"
The Reds will be in party mode when they get their hands on the title on Sunday.
And so too will their opponents, Crystal Palace, who stunned the football world to beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday afternoon.
