Manchester City are set for a mass exodus this summer.
Pep Guardiola even threatened to “quit” if Manchester City are unable to trim his squad this summer, with the Spaniard admitting he hates to leave players out in the wilderness.

Kevin De Bruyne is definitely leaving – while Jack Grealish seems likely to be sold – and many other established senior players could depart as well after a truly disappointing 2024/25 campaign.
Ahead of a busy summer transfer window – where Guardiola clearly wants sales – Callum Doyle made an honest admission which could see him be among the first to go.
Callum Doyle wants permanent move away from Manchester City, and it could accelerate after Pep Guardiola comments
The England U21 international sounds a bit fed up after being sent on four consecutive loans.
Doyle – who loves Guardiola – has spent the last four campaigns on loan at Sunderland, Coventry, Leicester and Norwich, with the defender now admitting he needs to settle somewhere.

The 21-year-old told The Pink Un: “I think (a permanent move) is the next aim. It’s my fourth loan. I’ve been all over the country. I’ve got nothing to say bad about this club (Norwich). I love it. I’ve loved playing here. The fans are great, so you never know (about a return). It just depends on what happens in the summer.”
Callum Doyle will return to Manchester City following his season-long loan.

These comments suggest Doyle would be content to stay with Manchester City if he was given playing time, but after Guardiola threatened to quit if his squad was not trimmed, we can see the City Football Academy graduate being sold after his honest words.
The Manchester-born prospect, who Norwich defender Shane Duffy told The Pink Un is “just so good” after playing alongside him at Carrow Road this season, scored one goal and provided seven assists in 40 Championship appearances for the Canaries.
Manchester City must act fast after Callum Doyle comments due to contract situation
Should Hugo Viana – Director of Football at the Etihad Stadium – fail to sell Doyle this summer, it could cost Manchester City millions.
"He'll be playing in the Premier League next season, absolutely." 📈

The versatile defender will only have 12 months left on his contract in the summer of 2026, which would reduce his value drastically.
Seeing as Doyle is clearly unwilling to leave on loan again, a permanent exit needs to be sorted this summer while his stock is high, following an impressive season at Norwich.
