Report: Everton boost as 'fantastic' midfielder says he wants to play for David Moyes next…

Everton already look like a much more attractive club to play for under the Friedkins.

Following the takeover in December, Everton have already seen plenty of changes made at the club ahead of the summer.

The Friedkin Group have transformed the Everton recruitment set-up as they prepare for a huge summer transfer window.

New CEO Angus Kinnear is expecting to be busy in the market, but he also has to oversee a historic stadium move.

Plenty of signings are going to be needed as the club bid farewell to a number of players, as well as Goodison Park.

Ashley Young and Abdoulaye Doucoure will leave Everton at the end of the season among a host of familiar faces.

But there is one player who has now approved a future on Merseyside.

Everton can sign Carlos Alcaraz this summer for a fee in the region of £15m following his short-term loan stint from Flamengo.

When he has played, Alcaraz has seriously impressed, but his move to Merseyside won’t become an obligation as Everton have not played him frequently enough.

According to the player’s agent, the Argentine midfielder would be keen to remain at Everton on a permanent deal.

“According to what I found out from the agent, the tendency is for him to be bought by Everton. Alcaraz wants to stay and is happy at Everton. Let’s see if the English team can reach an agreement,” said a journalist from Bolavip.

Moyes wants to sign Alcaraz permanently having been impressed with the midfielder over recent weeks.

The Argentine has not exactly been a regular throughout his time on Merseyside, but he has done more than enough to earn a spot in the squad for next season.

Abdoulaye Doucoure exit opens door for Alcaraz signing

The Friedkins are putting significant funds aside for Everton this summer in what will be their first summer window at the club.

But Everton are still going to have to be smart about their signings over the summer considering the sheer number of players they may need.

Doucoure’s exit was confirmed earlier in the week which leaves Everton open to signing a new attacking midfielder.

With the ‘fantastic’ Alcaraz really impressing Owen Hargreaves, the Blues could save themselves a lot of hassle by simply signing their Argentine loanee.

Allowing Alcaraz to return to Flamengo after some impressive showings would certainly leave a lot of frustrated fans.
