MORE TOFFEES STORIES

Rangers’ upcoming keeper Rydnn McGuire linked with switch to Everton

Everton have been on the hunt for bargains in preparation for the transfer window.

The Toffees have recently been linked to Sinaly Diomande to improve their backline.

Now, Moyes is also eyeing up a goalkeeper, according to a report by Rangers Review (21 May).

McGuire is seen as a highly promising goalkeeper at Rangers and has impressed despite being just 17 years old.

The youngster recently hit headlines after he starred in the Gers’ penalty shootout win against Celtic to lift the Glasgow Cup.

Throughout the campaign, he has been in and around the first team, and now Everton are preparing to make a move for the goalkeeper.

The report states that a seven-figure fee, plus add-ons could be enough for the Toffees to secure the youngster.

However, the Merseyside club face competition from Arsenal and Ipswich Town who are also showing interest in the goalkeeper.

Moyes continues to prove he has an eye for upcoming talent

If Everton do get the deal for McGuire over the line, it will be yet another upcoming star Moyes has acquired.

The Scotsman has developed a knack over the years of finding young players and turning them into stars.

Seamus Coleman is perhaps the most well-known name at Everton, with the full-back becoming a modern-day legend.

McGuire could easily be the next player to go down this route as Moyes looks towards the future.
