Isaiah Hartenstein Praises 1 Thunder Player For Impressive Facilitating

The Oklahoma City Thunder were able to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night for a number of reasons and because of multiple stars.

One of them was Cason Wallace, who dished out an impressive seven assists on the way to a 114-88 win.

After the game, Isaiah Hartenstein told the press what he said to Wallace.

“I came into the locker room today and called him Magic Johnson,” Hartenstein said of Wallace. “I’ve never seen him pass like that before, but he’s been great. He can adjust to any role you give him. Today, it was more facilitating. You’re always going to get his defense on a night-in, night-out basis. Today, he was amazing, just passing the ball, getting guys open.”

Hartenstein said that Wallace can adjust to any role and commit to any task for his team, and that was certainly true on Tuesday.

The team needed him to facilitate and find his teammates more, and that was what he did.

That was one of the reasons why the Thunder were able to open up such a comfortable lead.

2024-25 was Wallace’s second year with the Thunder, and he averaged 8.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.5 assists during the season.

On Tuesday, it was his assists that got the most attention, but he wasn’t the only star who was dishing them out.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander not only led the team in points, but he also led with assists, creating nine of his own.

The Thunder have one of the deepest benches in the NBA, and Wallace is a clear example of that.

If they win a championship, it’ll be because they have multiple players they can rely on night after night.
