It won’t be long before the time comes for Nottingham Forest to begin their assault on the transfer market ahead of a first season in Europe for 30 years.
The Reds have guaranteed European football for next season, although with one game to go, it’s not clear which competition the club will operate in yet.
Forest play Chelsea on Sunday, knowing that a victory could take the team into the Champions League, and that should make signing players extremely easy if qualification can be secured.
The Reds will be going in search of a number of players during the summer transfer window, and ahead of the final game of the campaign, new names are popping up all the time.
Forest were today linked with a new goalkeeper and it would appear that new players will be identified for a number of positions across the pitch.

Nottingham Forest make concrete approach for Maghnes Akliouche
Forest will have a certain profile of players in their sights for the summer transfer window, with emphasis likely to be placed on young players with potential and resale value.
According to L’Equipe, Forest are the only club to have made concrete advances for highly-rated Monaco player Maghnes Akliouche ahead of the transfer window.
The right-winger has enjoyed a very decent 2024/25 campaign in Ligue 1 and his performances have caught the eye of a number of Premier League clubs.

The player looks like the ideal sort of signing for Forest to make and at 23-years-old, he has bags of potential that is yet to be unearthed.
Akliouche has risen through the youth ranks at Monaco and will cost around £50 million if he’s to leave his current club in the summer.

However, if Forest do cash in on Morgan Gibbs-White, there could be some funds available to Nuno Espirito Santo and perhaps such a price tag won’t put the club off.
A new winger will definitely be sought this summer, with Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi in dire need of some competition to take the strain off when it comes to playing week in and week out.
