Manchester United are continuing the redesign of their attacking line-up as they look to the summer for reinforcements.

With Ruben Amorim set for his first pre-season at Old Trafford, the club are keen to sign players who can bring firepower to the squad and fit in with Amorim’s style.

As such, United are on the verge of signing Matheus Cunha from Wolves and the signing of Viktor Gyokeres hinges on the club’s performance against Tottenham in the Europa League final.

However, another player on their shortlist is Olympique Lyon’s Rayan Cherki.

Manchester United continue interest in Rayan Cherki

The Red Devils have been monitoring his performance for some time now, however, Patrick Berger has now reported that United have already made contact for the attacker.

The report explains that representatives of United met with Cherki’s team when The Red Devils took on Lyon in the Europa League.

It’s understood that the reality of United pursuing the 21-year-old relies on the result of the Europa League final, similar to with Viktor Gyokeres.

It’s also been reported that United no longer have Liverpool to worry about in the race for Cherki, with the Premier League champions prioritising Florian Wirtz.
