**Newcastle United bring the curtain down on their Premier League season at St James' Park on Sunday when resurgent Everton come to town.**
The Toffees bid farewell to Goodison Park on Sunday and now have very little else to play for other than pride, leaving Newcastle with what _should_ be an easy task on Sunday.
Of course, we all know that football doesn't work like that, and Newcastle will still have to be on their game to beat Everton.
They have a new lease of life under David Moyes, and they won't want to let that slip in the final game.
The Overlap have been generous with their predictions
-----------------------------------------------------
That hasn't stopped Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher going big with their prediction for the Sky Sports Super 6 on the latest episode of The Overlap. Roy Keane, Jill Scott and Ian Wright went with a 2-0 win for the Magpies, but when Neville and Carragher went with three, Wrighty took exception.
> “No way. There’s no way. That’s never going to happen.”
It is a bold prediction, as is 2-0 to be fair, but Newcastle are at home and have the Champions League as a dangling carrot, but when we have an incentive like that, we tend to bottle it.
It's not just about Champions League, it's about pride!
-------------------------------------------------------
It depends massively on who is fit enough to start on Sunday. If Alexander Isak is back, then we definitely back him to get a goal or two, but if we're going out there with Callum Wilson leading the line, our wingers are really going to have to step up.
Despite [Luke Edwards' call for calm](https://nufcfeed.com/relax-luke-edwards-sends-strong-message-to-newcastle-united-fans-ahead-of-champions-league-decider-1333057), the nerves are already kicking in for Sunday.
It's not so much about the Champions League spot for me, it's a pride thing. Coming so close and fluffing it on the last game could be devastating to the fanbase, to morale and to our pride. Yes, we still have Europe and a trophy, but it's about the ending. When you watch a movie, it's the ending that stays with you, and if they don't stick the landing, it leaves you with a negative impression. It could be the same for us on Sunday.
