Liverpool sale for 22-year-old"not ruled out"as several clubs circle - Plettenberg

There is expected to be much transfer movement at Liverpool this summer and 22-year-old Jarell Quansah is now being linked with an exit.

This season, the defender hasn’t exactly lit the world alight with his performances in the Liverpool side and with Arne Slot paying close attention, it might be that he is sold this summer.

It’s a pity but Quansah just hasn’t done enough to suggest he is going to be the world beater of a defender that Liverpool need him to be if he is going to succeed either Virgil van Dijk or Ibrahima Konate in the coming years.

The English centre-back has made 25 appearances for a total of 1,290 minutes and given that’s a decent sample size, it would be fair if Slot has already made his decision.

Liverpool could sell Jarell Quansah this summer with several clubs interested

According to trustworthy journalist Florian Plettenberg, there are “several Bundesliga clubs and teams from England” showing interest in signing Quansah this summer.

Beyond that, Plettigoal only added that a “sale of the 22-year-old centre-back this summer is not ruled out.”

What should Liverpool do at centre-back in the transfer market this summer?

Liverpool have a lot of work to in the transfer market and particularly in defence. With Jeremie Frimpong already close to a move to Anfield, a left-back and centre-back signing remain.

Milos Kerkez remains nailed on to be the left back that replaces Kostas Tsimikas but Manchester City have now entered the race for his signature so it may get more complicted from here on out.

Then there’s Ibrahima Konate. The Frenchman is out of contract next summer and until Liverpool extend his deal, it’s a risky situation.
