NBA Shooting Legend Reggie Miller Facing Backlash During Game 1 of Knicks-Pacers

All eyes are on Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night as the New York Knicks host the Indiana Pacers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals.

TNT has the privilege of providing the broadcast for this series, which will be the network's final NBA broadcast, as its TV rights expire at the end of this season.

This means that Pacers legend Reggie Miller will be on the call for the entire series, which was the case on Wednesday night. The Hall of Famer returned to MSG to face a familiar foe in the Knicks, as Miller relives his long-standing rivalry with New York, stemming from his playing days.

More than a few NBA fans, however, were not at all pleased by the fact that Miller has been assigned to provide commentary for the game. There have been a lot of complaints on social media about Miller's broadcasting style, and the fans have not been shy about their criticism at all.

"Can the @NBA ban REGGIE MILLER FROM ANNOUNCING @nyknicks games on @NBAonTNT," a comment on X read.

"Can the NBA & TNT veto Reggie Miller calling this series again please," another said.

"They just torturing Knicks fans with Reggie miller broadcasting," accused a user.

"Reggie miller is actually insufferable," declared a viewer.

"Reggie Miller never has any clue what he’s talking about," said another.

"Does anybody actually enjoy Reggie Miller on the broadcasts? Or am I alone in finding his voice and comments grating?" asked a user.

Miller should get much more love from Pacers fans when this series shifts to Indiana for Games 3 and 4. After all, he is widely considered one of, if not the greatest, player in Pacers franchise history.

Non-Pacers supporters, however, have made their feelings about Miller's commentary abundantly clear.
