What transfer offers would we accept for Saints players this summer?

Southampton's coffers will be reduced following relegation from the Premier League, but they have plenty of players who will attract transfer interest.

The club raised over £100million from player sales ahead of their previous Championship campaign and stand to do the same this time around.

Here is how much we would accept for Southampton's players if we were handed the keys this summer.

Aaron Ramsdale - £25million

(Image: Stuart Martin) Saints should have no issue recouping the initial £18million (potentially raising to £25million) they spent to sign Aaron Ramsdale from Arsenal last summer.

While the England goalkeeper has conceded 64 goals in 29 games, he is responsible for most of the points Saints have won this season and is too good for the Championship.

With a number of Premier League clubs in need of a new shot-stopper for next season, Southampton could offload Ramsdale early in the summer.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis - £20million or keep

(Image: PA) Saints will have a tougher task recouping the £20million they paid to sign Taylor Harwood-Bellis permanently from Manchester City following promotion.

While the young defender has plenty of upside and made his England debut this season, he has not hit the heights expected of him in the Premier League.

No outfield player has made more errors leading to goals than Harwood-Bellis (four), and he has been a key man in a defence which has conceded 84 league goals.

Saints are unlikely to sell Harwood-Bellis for less than they spent on him, which could present an obstacle for any clubs circling the 23 year old.

Jan Bednarek - £6million

Bednarek, who signed a new deal earlier this season, is very much expected to leave Saints, ending his eight-year stint on the south coast.

Roma tendered an offer for the 29 year old in the winter window and could re-ignite their interest, while other clubs will have been alerted to Bednarek's availability.

Armel Bella-Kotchap - £5million

The defender has made just four appearances in the Premier League this season, and has told German media he is open to a return to the Bundesliga.

Saints had agreed to sell Bella-Kotchap to Hoffenheim last summer for £13million, but the deal collapsed after a heart problem was discovered in his medical.

Having played just 11 senior games across the last two seasons, and entering the final year of his contract, Saints will struggle to receive similar offers 12 months later.

Yukinari Sugawara - £8million

The Japan international has not started a game since mid-March, and while he possesses qualities going forward, he has been exposed defensively in the Premier League.

Serie A leaders Napoli have been linked with the 24 year old, who may look to end his time in English football after just one season.

Mateus Fernandes - £45-50million

(Image: Matt Watson/Southampton FC) This is where Saints can make their money. Mateus Fernandes arrived in the summer as an unknown quantity and quickly established himself as a key player.

The club could turn a hefty profit on the £15million they paid Sporting to sign Fernandes, who ranks highly in both offensive and defensive metrics.

Fernandes does not turn 21 until July and has proven himself good enough to play in the Premier League, despite his surroundings.

With a contract until 2029, Saints will not be bullied into selling the Portuguese youth international for anything below their asking price.

Keeping Fernandes, who won the Daily Echo Player of the Year award this season, would be an ambitious message.

Tyler Dibling - £45-50million

(Image: Andrew Matthews/PA) Although Tyler Dibling's stock has decreased since Russell Martin departed in December, there is no denying the teenager can become a top-quality Premier League player.

Forget the sensational headlines of a £100million transfer. Southampton are likely to earn half of that for their academy graduate, who is under contract until 2027.

In his first season as a senior professional, Dibling's driving runs and quick feet have caused nightmares for defenders, forcing opposition teams to double up on him.

In some ways, Dibling has been the victim of his early success and the lack of relative quality around him. Placed in a stronger team, opponents can't focus on him as much.

Kamaldeen Sulemana - £5million

Kamaldeen Sulemana has scored just once in two seasons.Kamaldeen Sulemana has scored just twice in two seasons. (Image: Southampton FC/Chris Moorhouse) Club record signing Kamaldeen Sulemana is another Saints should cut their losses on after two and a half seasons.

The Ghana winger arrived from Rennes for £22million to much excitement but has not come close to justifying that hefty price tag.

Kamaldeen failed to score in the Championship as Saints won promotion, and his strike against AFC Bournemouth remains his only league goal this season.

His performances against Liverpool and Manchester United remain the high points, but the 23 year old has not been constant and should move on.

Adam Armstrong - £6million

That could be the case for Armstrong. Although he fired Saints back to the Premier League, he has never done the business in the Premier League.

A poor loan spell at West Brom, in which he scored just three goals, has probably hurt his value.

Ben Brereton Diaz - £10million or keep

And while the Chile international may not have scored as many goals as expected, Chris Wilder has been backed to sign Brereton Diaz permanently upon promotion.

If the Blades fall to Sunderland at Wembley, Saints will need to reassess their ability to sell the 26 year old, and should consider keeping him.

Paul Onuachu - £5million

(Image: Bradley Collyer/PA) In some ways, Paul Onuachu seems perfectly suited to the Championship, but his inability to play two games in a week hurts his chances of being Southampton's number nine.

Goals have followed the Nigerian wherever he has played, except for his time at Saints, although he is the club's top goalscorer this season.

Heading into the final year of his contract, Saints may choose to take the money and reinvest it elsewhere in the squad.
