There would have been a lot of eyes on what was unfolding in Bilbao on Wednesday night between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in the Europa League final.
The Celtic Park faithful would have been cheering on their former manager, Ange Postecoglou, but Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah, was also keeping a close eye on matters.
Postecoglou left Celtic and joined the London club in the summer of 2023, hoping to help the club win silverware after waiting for nearly two decades.
Salah played his part in continuing that run because his Liverpool side knocked Spurs out of the League Cup earlier in the season.
But the Egypt international was on hand to make sure he was the first to congratulate them, in an epic fashion, on their Europa League final win over Manchester United when that full-time whistle blew in the Basque Country.

Mohamed Salah reacts as Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou wins the Europa League
One of the great things Celtic fans loved about Postecoglou wasn’t just his style of play, but how he conducted himself in the media.
Back in September, amid the pressure he was under, Celtic’s Treble-winning coach told the whole world, ‘I always win in my second season’.
And that’s what Salah repeated on social media when he reacted and congratulated Tottenham for beating Manchester United in the Europa League final.

Postecoglou adapts style as Tottenham beat Manchester United to win the Europa League
The great thing about this final is the fact that Postecoglou showcased his adaptability, and that was something thrown in his face when he moved to the Premier League.
Given that Postecoglou was used to dominating at Celtic, there were suggestions that he couldn’t alter his ways now that he was out of that bubble.
But when you look at the stats over the 90 minutes, his Spurs side really showed a different side to themselves and produced a defensive masterclass.
