Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho has dropped a huge hint over his Old Trafford future, saying ‘I’ll see what happens next’ following the Europa League final defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Argentinian winger came off the bench for the final 20 minutes on Wednesday night, as Man United suffered another damaging defeat and squandered their chance to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Garnacho was visibly upset after the game and pointed to Ruben Amorim’s tactical decision to drop him for the showdown in Bilbao, saying this ‘match affects feelings’.
The 20-year-old forward had been in United’s starting line-up for every knockout game en route to the final.
Garnacho Upset After Tottenham Defeat
‘We didn't beat anyone significant’

Garnacho, speaking post-match, said Man United ‘didn’t beat anyone significant’ this season as he reflected on the Europa League final loss to Tottenham:
“Obviously, it’s tough for everyone after a season that, frankly, was ****.
“We lost the cup final, and we didn't beat anyone significant this season.
“Until the final, I played every round and helped the team. Today, playing only 20 minutes... I don’t know.
“The match affects feelings, but it’s more about the season and the club’s situation. I’ll try to enjoy the summer and see what happens next.”
Garnacho has now been out of Amorim’s first XI for three straight games – he last started for Man United on 4 May, in the 4-3 defeat away to Brentford.
The 20-year-old forward is United’s second top goal contributor this season, with 11 goals and 10 assists in 58 appearances across all competitions.
United have one game left to play this season, a home clash with Aston Villa on Sunday. A win could lift Amorim’s side up to 14th in the table, while a defeat may leave them as low as 17th.
The Red Devils have endured their worst campaign in Premier League history as they are set to finish in the bottom half for the first time ever.
