Wolves ‘on the move’ to sign player desired by Vítor Pereira – €40m and speed will help

Earlier this month, we covered claims from Brazil which stated Wolverhampton Wanderers have identified Flamengo’s Evertton Araújo as a ‘major target’ for the summer window.

Coluna do Fla cover more on the Premier League side’s interest and the competition they will face to sign the 22-year-old.

Wolves have been closely watching the midfielder since Vítor Pereira arrived at Molineux in December.

That’s because the manager has pointed out a few names, including that of the Brazilian, to Wolves’ board.

The English club contacted the player’s representatives in February, and the report adds they are ‘on the move’ to secure his services in the upcoming window.

Wolves have to be wary of the competition to sign the player requested by Pereira. Coluna do Fla state Eintracht Frankfurt, Sevilla, Villarreal and Getafe are also showing interest in Evertton Araújo.

German agent Stefan Krausse represents the Bundesliga club in Brazil and has monitored the South American on behalf of Eintracht Frankfurt. He even made contact on Monday, while the La Liga trio also contacted his entourage earlier this month.

Evertton Araújo’s contract lasts until December 2028, and the report states it has a €40m release clause. Wolves can snatch him by activating the clause but need to act quickly to beat four clubs to his signing.
