Alejandro Garnacho's brother took aim at Ruben Amorim's choice to keep him benched until the last 20 minutes of the Europa League final.
Manchester United lost the last opportunity to salvage something from their horrific season when they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham in Wednesday's Europa League showdown. Argentinian winger Garnacho came off the bench as time ticked down in Bilbao, before forcing a save from Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario - in one of the Red Devils' few chances.
Garnacho had earlier teased his followers with an Instagram snap of him scoring in the previous season's FA Cup final win over Manchester City, hinting he'd been snubbed for the starting squad. The whispers were confirmed when the 20-year-old was listed as a sub at Estadio de San Mames as the line-up dropped.
The young winger looked less than impressed ahead of the game. His online antics have landed him in hot water with under pressure manager Amorim before, and his younger brother Roberto hasn't shied away from stirring the pot since the Garnachos rocked up in Manchester, reports the Manchester Evening News.
He whipped up another storm post-final with a cheeky social media jab, that readL "Working as no one else, helping every round, coming from two goals last two finals, just to be on the pitch for 19 mins and get thrown under the bus. Wowe, hahahaha."

Speaking after the game, Garnacho said: “Obviously it’s hard for everyone. Our season was s***. We didn’t beat anyone in the league. We lacked a lot of things. When you don’t score goals, you always need more.
"Until we reached the final, I played every round. And I played 20 minutes today - I don’t know. I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens next."
United chiefs have clocked the younger Garnacho's online banter before, sparking worries about Alejandro himself, who had to say sorry to his team-mates back in February after chucking a strop and storming down the Old Trafford tunnel when substituted against Ipswich Town.
Garnacho was subbed off after Patrick Dorgu saw red and headed back to the changing rooms. He later apologised to Amorim and offered to treat his team-mates to dinner.

Amorim shared: "It was funny because in the next day he came to me, to my office. I did some investigations, and he went to the dressing room, he changed his clothes because he was wet.
"He watched the game in a different [place], not on the bench. At the end of the game he was there, then he went home, so there's not an issue there.
"But I told them that at Manchester United everything is important, and the perception in a big club is really important, so he's going to pay for a dinner for all the team, and that's it.
"I think he understands. He was subbed, he was playing well and had to go off at that moment of the game.
