Man United are planning to sell Rasmus Hojlund this summer in an attempt to raise funds, according to their former chief scout.
Mick Brown, who worked at Old Trafford for over a decade during the club’s most successful period and remains very well-connected there, exclusively told Football Insider that Ruben Amorim will let the 22-year-old leave to fund a replacement.
As a result, there is a growing belief that Hojlund will not be a Man United player next season with all parties set to benefit from a permanent move.
Brown told Football Insider on 17 April that Juventus are among a number of Italian clubs watching Hojlund as United are expected to cut their losses.
However, they will aim to recoup a significant proportion of the £72million spent to sign him from Atalanta in 2023, with their price set at £50million.
The club’s failure in the Europa League final has come as a huge blow financially, and now their priority will be to shift players in a desperate bid to raise funds.

Rasmus Hojlund has no future at Man United
Brown told Football Insider in March that Hojlund has no future at Man United as they plan to sign a replacement when the summer window opens.
The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, has now insisted that the striker will be near the top of their list of player sales.
“*It will be best for all parties if Rasmus Hojlund moves on,*” he told Football Insider.
“Man United want to sell him, Amorim wants to sign a replacement, and it would be a good move for him as well because of the way it’s gone at United.
“He has proven now that he’s not up to the job, as frustrating as that may be.
“They paid around £70million, so if they could get a significant proportion of that back, he will leave.
“There are teams out there who have been looking at him, so if they come calling I doubt he’ll be a Manchester United player next year.
“Then the issue for United is they have to fill the hole that will be left.
*“They’ve already been working on bringing in a new forward, but a lot will depend on their finances.*“

Antoine Semenyo and Bryan Mbeumo targeted at Old Trafford
While they prepare to part ways with Hojlund, United have already begun working on deals to sign two new attackers in the summer window.
Brown told Football Insider on 22 May that Man United want Antoine Semenyo and Bryan Mbeumo and will push ahead with deals for the Bournemouth and Brentford stars.
However, they are not expected to sign both players this summer and will decide on their priority option after holding preliminary talks with their clubs.
This comes after Brown told Football Insider earlier this month that United are preparing a move for Semenyo and scouts have been been impressed.
