Whatever the future holds for Ange Postecoglou, it's hard to imagine a moment topping his bold Tottenham prophecy coming true. The Australian has succeeded where so many before him fell short, by ending Spurs' 17-year wait for a major trophy courtesy of a 1-0 win over Manchester United in the Europa League final.
Brennan Johnson scored the only goal of the game, bungling the ball home from close range on 42 minutes to not only clinch the title for Tottenham but also book their spot in next season's Champions League. Postecoglou famously noted, "I always win things in my second year," and despite a dismal domestic campaign, those words have proven prophetic, reshaping the entire narrative of the season.
Juventus legend Giorgio Chiellini once famously mocked the "history of the Tottenham," a club long ridiculed for failing when it mattered most. Yet under Postecoglou's leadership and with his unique charisma, "Angeball" ultimately triumphed.
The former Celtic manager will be the first to admit their underwhelming Premier League run can't be overlooked - but shaking off the dreaded 'Spursy' label? That's a victory money can't buy.
As Ange and his players bask in 'glory, glory', football.london rounds up some of the best reactions to last night's historic triumph, either live on air or on social media, including Roy Keane controversially dragging Arsenal into matters.
Roy Keane: "Spurs have won more than Arsenal this season. When you think of the clubs out there, Spurs get criticised as much as anyone. They certainly were not Spursy. They defended really well, their attacking play wasn't great but it doesn't really matter.
"For all the critics over the past few years, we've said they've got a lovely stadium but it's all about winning trophies. Now they can get their hands on that trophy tonight and really enjoy it. When the players come back for pre-season they know they're in the Champions League and the knock-on effect for the club is fantastic."
Gareth Bale: "Amazing for the club. It has been a long time coming. Delighted for the club and all the fans. Now Ange goes down as a legendary manager to win a European Cup."
Mohamed Salah: "He did say he'd win in his second season. Congratulations!"

Ange Postecoglou's prophecy came true
Paul Robinson: "What scenes and limbs in that Tottenham end of the ground. The players, the staff, the supporters you can see what that means to the club. They have won a trophy. They have taken away that 'Spursy' tag and nobody can point that at them any more.
"17 long years without a trophy, a really poor domestic campaign, it's all turned around. A European trophy, Champions League football and who knows what springboard that could be for the club."
Glenn Hoddle: "Incredible. I've got no nails left. Fantastic for the club. It wasn't a fantastic game, but they got over the line. Ange Postecoglou got it right in the end.
"He played three in midfield and particularly in the first half that overpowered Man Utd. Second half, there was a case of holding on and hanging in there. They defended like trojans. Hopefully, it's a stepping stone for more."

Harry Kane: "Congratulations @SpursOfficial."
Chris Sutton: "Beautiful… all the s*** he's taken off people. Bold, brave , backed his ability as a coach. One idiot disrespectfully inferred he was a clown a couple of days ago. Who's the clown now? Well played Ange.
"He's been proven correct. He always wins in his second season. A lot of people eating a lot of humble pie right now. Get in there! Delighted for the big Aussie."
Ally McCoist: "Ange delivers what he says he does – that'll be the story tomorrow. And rightly so... I'll put my cards on the table, I'm absolutely delighted for him. Some of the criticism has been way over the top – particularly in the build-up to this final. I don't think anyone can grudge him this trophy."
