Tottenham star James Maddison ended his war of words with Manchester United legend Roy Keane after the Europa League final.
Since getting into punditry, Roy Keane has never been someone afraid to throw around criticism.
Earlier this season, Keane ranted about Bruno Fernandes, slamming the United captain for showing poor leadership this season.
Ironically, Keane backed Fernandes to shine against Tottenham on Wednesday evening, but the Red Devils lost 1-0 in the Europa League final.
Another player Keane has heavily criticised this season is Tottenham’s James Maddison, and he certainly didn’t forget about his words in his post-match interview.

James Maddison silences Roy Keane after Europa League final
Maddison missed the final through injury, but Tottenham were still able to beat United in Bilbao.
Earlier this season, Maddison was the match-winner against United in the Premier League, but he was forced to watch from the sidelines at the San Mames Stadium.

After Tottenham’s 1-0 win, he got involved with the celebrations and he made sure to get a final word to Keane who was on punditry duty.
“I wasn’t going to do any interviews but then I heard it was with Roy Keane.
Maddison was then asked by Micah Richards to do his trademark celebration of throwing a dart – something Keane had previously mocked.
“Oh will I? Roy Keane that’s for you son,” Maddison replied.
Keane responded: “I’ve always said he’s a good player.”
Unfortunately Keane will have to join the United fanbase who had to swallow their pride after losing to Tottenham in the final.
Where Man United went wrong vs Tottenham in Europa League final
In what was his first European final as a manager, Ruben Amorim made mistakes against Tottenham in both his team selection and substitutions.
It’s easy to point that out now in hindsight, and in fairness United were the better team over 90 minutes.
However, United have had an issue scoring goals this season and sadly that was also the case in Bilbao. Tottenham sat back and invited United’s pressure knowing there was a huge lack of a goal threat.

Fernandes endured his worst game of the season when United needed him most, and Amorim waited too long to introduce the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo.
If it wasn’t already blindingly clear – United need reinforcements but overhauling the squad this summer just got a whole lot more difficult.
