Liverpool’s Luis Díaz and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford have been linked with a move to Barcelona.
The La Liga winners looked at the England international in January before he joined Aston Villa on loan. The Liverpool forward has long been on their agenda and continues to be their target for the summer window.
Barca sporting director Deco has given a detailed interview to RAC1, where he was asked about the 28-year-old and the Manchester United player. He has publicly stated that the Catalan club like these two players and Mundo Deportivo have relayed his comments.
“We like Luis, and we like Rashford, but we can’t talk about players who are under contract. For me, it’s much more important to improve what we have at home,” he said.
Deco’s comments indicate the Spanish champions are interested in both the Colombia international and the 27-year-old. However, his side are unsure whether they can sign either of them in the upcoming window.
Earlier this month, we covered claims from Spain which stated Rashford has tasked super-agent Pini Zahavi to take care of his interests. Zahavi, who has close ties with Barcelona president Joan Laporta, has offered the Manchester United man to the Blaugrana.
On Wednesday, Mundo Deportivo reported the Liverpool player is the priority target for Hansi Flick’s side. Rashford has been identified as an alternative, and he’s willing to take a pay cut to arrive at the Camp Nou.
