Former Ipswich Town loanee Dane Scarlett is a Europa League winner, with Tottenham Hotspur ending their 17-year wait for a trophy in Bilbao last night.
Ange Postecoglou's side beat Manchester United 1-0 in the final thanks to a first-half goal from Brennan Johnson, the son of ex-Town forward David.
Scarlett was an unused substitute for Spurs as they lifted their third European trophy in their history, while also qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
The 21-year-old striker was a surprise pick on the bench, with Postecoglou recently ruling him out until after pre-season due to groin surgery.

He spent the first half of the season on loan at Championship side Oxford United, but was recalled by the North London club in January after scoring four goals in 22 games for them in all competitions.
Upon returning to the Premier League side, Scarlett has made a handful of appearances in the second half of the campaign, scoring his first Spurs goal in the 3-0 win over Elfsborg in the group stage of the Europa League, ensuring progress to the last 16 of the competition.
The England Under-21 international spent the first half of last season at Portman Road, but he was also recalled by Spurs after making just 12 appearances, all from the bench.
