Manchester United Legend Set To Give Up Season Ticket After Treatment From Club

Last night's Europa League final against Tottenham was fairly dire occasion for Manchester United.

They failed to turn up for a European final, producing an abject display against Spurs. Their pace of play certainly lacked the type of urgency you would expect to see in such a fixture, leading to a rather comfortable evening for the opposition.

In the end, they could have no complaints about the 1-0 defeat.

Missing out on silverware is one thing, but this loss will have far more far reaching consequences for Manchester United as a club. They desperately needed the £100million cash injection that a place in next season's Champions League would have provided, with the club's finances in a perilous position as things stand.

It will certainly limit the spending power they have in the transfer market this summer, a far from ideal situation when you consider the radical squad overhaul that manager Ruben Amorim is hoping to carry out.

With the poor product on the pitch and the questionable manner in which the owners have been behaving away from it, it seems that even some club legends have had enough.

So, I’ve waited for a while to write this.

It is with unbelievable sadness, that after more than 28 years of having season tickets at Old Trafford, @NormanWhiteside and I are not renewing next year.

She also revealed that the club had forced them to switch their season and stopped their children using the season tickets.

I’ll still be at games, I’m MUFC until I die, and I’ve seen worse times than now, but I’m not sure I’ve seen players less interested in pulling on our shirt for very many years.

Times must change 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻♥️♥️♥️

Manchester United have come in for some heavy criticism for their treatment of season ticket holders in recent times, with some supporters having their tickets revoked over accusations of not attending enough games, despite claims from fans that this was not the case.

The club have also essentially installed sizeable price hikes for the the 2025/26 season, with some season tickets going up by over £250 as a result of Jim Ratcliffe's decision to reduce concessions for old age pensioners and U16s.

Couple this with the sacking of a huge number of staff and you can see why many people have had enough.
