Furious senior Man Utd figures transfer list star who started v Tottenham, all confidence lost…

Manchester United are ready to part ways with Rasmus Hojlund this summer to make room for a new number nine, journalist Samuel Luckhurst has revealed.

The Danish centre-forward will reportedly be made available for transfer once the market reopens next month after struggling to impress Ruben Amorim.

Luckhurst claims senior figures at Old Trafford have ‘lost confidence’ in Hojlund this season, and United are willing to offload the 21-year-old amid their growing interest in Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap.

Hojlund, who joined Man United from Atalanta for £64m in summer 2023, has over three years left on his contract, running until June 2028.

According to Luckhurst, Man United’s summer outgoings are likely to break double figures again amid another looming squad rebuild.

The Red Devils parted ways with more than a dozen first-team players last year and are willing to offload even more names to make room for new signings.

While sales of forwards Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho are being prioritised, Hojlund will also be made available for transfer following a season of struggles under Amorim.

The Danish striker, who started in the Europa League final loss against Tottenham on Wednesday, has scored just 10 goals and provided four assists in 51 appearances across all competitions.

Man United are already making advances on new signings for Amorim and are closing in on a deal for Wolves forward Matheus Cunha.

The Brazilian striker is now expected to be the first summer arrival at Old Trafford and a new number nine is likely to follow, with Ipswich’s Delap among potential targets.
