Man United plotting€135 million offer for Dutch play-maker

Man United are showing strong interest to sign Dutch youngster this summer. They are plotting an offer of around €135 million to sign him.

Manchester United are headed for a very busy summer window. They are set to make some key changes in their squad. This has been one of the toughest seasons in their history. They are on 16th position in Premier League and last night lost Europa League final to Spurs.

Ruben Amorim is likely to be backed by the United board. The Portugese is aiming for a squad overhaul. His top priority is to resolve the goal-scoring issue. Hence, he wants to sign some top attackers along with parting ways with the under performing current ones.

Man United showing strong interest in Dutch attacker

The star in question here is Xavi Simons of RB Leipzig. He is 22 years old and plays for Netherlands on international level. According to Fichajes, United are keen to sign Simons. In addition, the report says that the Red Devils are ready to spend €135 million to land Simons this summer.

Simons can be a great addition to United squad. He is capable of playing in number of positions – attacking midfielder, left winger, right winger and left midfielder. He is highly creative and can aslo score on regular basis.

Simons is said to be ready to move-on from Leipzig this summer. Joining United can be tempting but he will have to miss playing in UCL next season. Lastly as for Leipzig, they can be interested to hear about the offer as €135 million are hard to ignore.

However, it will not be as easy as it seems for United to spend that much money. They are not in a very good financial state right now. Hence, they may turn their focus on other stars with Matheus Cunha already said very close to join United.
