Emiliano Martinez has changed agents in a new hint he is ready to leave Aston Villa this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The Argentine goalkeeper, 32, has been taken on as an A-list client of super-agent Jorge Mendes and his renowned Gestifute agency.

Universal Twenty Two, whose other star client is Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, had previously been listed as Martinez’s representatives.

It comes at a time when Martinez’s future is up in the air going into the summer transfer market.

Villa need to sell a prize asset by the 30 June deadline in order to meet profit and sustainability rules, and the former Arsenal star is one who could leave.

Meanwhile, former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Aston Villa will be forced to sell players this summer to comply with PSR constraints.

Aston Villa could accept Emi Martinez offer after agent talks

Football Insider exclusively revealed on 19 May that Aston Villa could accept offers for Martinez, and sources say a £30million offer could be enough to prise him away.

Their need to sell before the financial deadline has added more urgency to the deal and could force them to accept a cut-price offer despite his value to the team.

This comes after former Villa scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Martinez’s camp are pushing for a move with his agency leading the push.

Having only recently signed with Gestifute, efforts are being made to drum up a big-money move to the Saudi Pro League for the World Cup winner.

Meanwhile, the goalkeeper appeared to wave goodbye to Villa fans following their final home game of the season against Tottenham on 16 May.

Youri Tielemans update emerges amid Saudi Pro League interest

Martinez is not the only Villa star to have been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League, with Youri Tielemans also attracting interest.

However, Brown told Football Insider on 13 May that Tielemans will turn down a move away from Villa Park as he is happy working under Emery’s guidance.

He is also keen to continue playing in the Champions League after an outstanding season at Villa Park, and is not ready to step away.

Football Insider revealed on 2 May that Villa are prepared to sell key players this summer as Emery eyes major improvements to his first-team squad.
