West Ham’s summer transfer window could be their most important in recent history as they look to dramatically improve their team.
It is going to be a tricky summer for Graham Potter at the Hammers. After a difficult start to life at the London Stadium, pressure is already mounting on the Englishman.
On top of this, West Ham have PSR restrictions going into the transfer window and will likely have to sell to buy.
Signings are no doubt a must. However, West Ham have already suffered a major setback given the recent news emerging about Yuri Alberto.

The Hammers head into the final day having only scored 43 goals in the Premier League, the fifth lowest in the top-flight.
Concerns have grown further in recent weeks as Jarrod Bowen has been linked away from West Ham ahead of the summer transfer window.
With Leeds United making serious moves in the transfer market, there is a real fear that the London club could go down next season.
Therefore, signings are needed, however, West Ham may have already received their first blow of the summer.
One of the Hammers’ top targets is Alberto, with West Ham reportedly agreeing personal terms with the striker last month.
Yet, according to his agent via BolaVIP (21 May), there is yet to be an official proposal.
Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola, who spoke to the Brazilian’s agent, said: “I spoke with André Cury and he assures me that there is no official proposal. At this moment, there are only preliminary conversations seeking information.”
The report also states that fellow Premier League outfit Wolves have now joined the race to sign the attacker, with West Ham facing serious competition for his signature.

West Ham need to step up their game if they want Yuri Alberto
In recent weeks, the striker’s stock has only grown further. The 24-year-old is the top scorer for Corinthians in Série A and scored another winning goal on the weekend.
Aberto would no doubt be a great buy for West Ham. However, if they want him, they cannot wait around.

As he continues to blossom in Brazil, more teams will likely join the race for the attacker, which could prize the Hammers out.
Potter now needs to act fast if the London club are to bring in Alberto this summer.
