West Ham Plot Raid On Premier League Rival For 10 Goal Midfielder But They Will Have To Match£17M Valuation

West Ham are among “several clubs” keeping tabs on Bournemouth midfielder Hamed Traore, according to reports in the French media.

The 25-year-old, who is said to be the brother of Manchester United’s Amad Diallo, has been out on two different loan spells since signing for the Cherries on a permanent basis in 2023.

Traore joined Napoli in January last year but struggled to make an impact in the second half of last season. The Partenopei had an option to buy him for €25m but they decided against keeping him and he was sent back to the Vitality Stadium.

After the midfielder‘s difficult time in Naples, he then joined Ligue One side Auxerre in August. It is fair to say that he has had a lot more success in France.

Traore has helped his current team to a midtable finish, scoring 10 goals and registering 2 assists in 26 appearances. Foot Mercato claim that his performances have attracted the attention of the Hammers and other teams.

3 clubs will rival West Ham for the player’s signature

It is believed that Nice have already made contact with Bournemouth about signing Traore, while Serie A clubs Atalanta and Bologna are also thought to be interested.

Graham Potter’s side, meanwhile, have not gone beyond making initial enquiries and it remains to be seen whether they will table a formal bid.

Traore’s asking price is pretty high

Bournemouth are reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of €20m (£17m). That is a pretty steep valuation for a player who has just one impressive season under his belt.

As the Irons are not exactly flush with cash, it is understandable why they haven’t made a firm approach for Traore yet. It is a transfer story to keep a close eye on over the coming weeks.
