Chelsea and Liverpool are both showing interest in talented young striker. But, they are unwilling to meet the asking price set by the player’s current club.
Chelsea are keen to add another striker to their unit. Enzo Maresca has felt a need of more quality in the final third. Nicolas Jackson has once again failed to stay consistent in front of goal. On the other hand, Marc Guiu is still very young to be trusted with regular starting role.
On the other hand, Liverpool are planning to move-on from Darwin Nunez. The Uruguay international has not been able to meet the expectations the clubs had from him. As a result, Arne Slot wants a more clinical striker and the club is ready to back him this summer.
Both Chelsea and Liverpool are showing interest in Benjamin Sesko. He is 21 years old Slovenian striker who currently plays for RB Leipzig. Sesko has been superb this season and is very likely to join a bigger club this summer. As of now, Premier League is looking his most probable next destination.
Chelsea & Liverpool unwilling to meet Leipzig’s expectations
According to Fichajes, Sesko is valued by Leipzig at €84 million. Neither of Chelsea or Liverpool are willing to meet this amount. Hence, this may result in failure of deal as Leipzig do have interest from plenty other top clubs.
🚨 BREAKING from @philipphinze24:
Benjamin Šeško is actively pushing for a move this summer! 🇸🇮
He has a release clause of over €80m. 💰
Leipzig are open to other payment structures and that would allow for direct negotiations. ✨ pic.twitter.com/LYnhkVs4oq

Sesko has scored 21 goals and picked 6 assists for Leipzig this season. He has also been a regular starter for Slovenia national team. Leipzig have Sesko tied to them with a contract running until 2029. This makes them even more strong in negotiations.
Chelsea do have many other options present in market. But, the board wants to stick with signing young players. This makes Sesko their top priority as Liam Delap is leaning towards joining their rivals Man United.
