EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal that Leicester City’s next manager could have some good news before they take the job, despite their latest setback.
The Foxes were hit with another PSR setback after being charged with three alleged breaches relating to the 2023/24 season.
Leicester appear to have a new manager in line, with reports suggesting that Russell Martin could replace Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Martin would want to be at the Foxes before pre-season, but Rob Dorsett has suggested that Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl could still be in contention.

Leicester won’t need a ‘fire sale’ after PSR issues
EFL Analysis expert Graeme Bailey has revealed that despite the off-field issues, Leicester won’t need to be forced into a fire sale and could therefore hold on to talents like Ben Nelson, who is wanted by Chelsea.
Bailey said: “I’m told that PSR-wise, they probably won’t have to sell.
“The parachute payments help. I don’t think they’ll have to sell massively. And everyone in that Leicester squad has a contract that sees their wages reduced [after relegation], so that helps, too. They’re hoping there’s a bounce factor in that they can go straight back up.
“Their plan is to go straight back. So, I don’t necessarily think it’ll be like a fire sale or anything.”

Which Leicester City players are likely to leave?
Leicester may not need to sell, but a second Championship campaign in three years may not appeal to some of the bigger names.
Mads Hermansen and Bilal El Khannouss will almost certainly depart after being the most consistent duo this season.
Wout Faes and Wilfred Ndidi will both believe the time to move is now, and high earners like Conor Coady will also be moved on.
Younger players such as Nelson and Jeremy Monga will be of interest to other clubs but the Foxes will hope to keep them in the East Midlands.
