Callum Marshall has been named in the Northern Ireland squad for their upcoming friendlies against Denmark and Iceland, his tenth senior international call-up.
The 20-year-old forward enjoyed an impressive loan spell at EFL League One side Huddersfield Town this season, where he finished as top goalscorer and was named the club’s Player of the Season. His tally of nine league goals was the third-highest by an U21s player across the top three tiers of English football, behind only Millwall’s Mihailo Ivanović and Crawley Town’s Kamari Doyle.
A prolific finisher at youth level, Marshall is yet to open his account at senior international level but came close on his debut against Denmark in June 2023, when he thought he had scored a late equaliser, only for the goal to be ruled out by VAR.
