Everton are understood to be in talks with James Tarkowski after the centre-back made a major decision on his future.
The Toffees will usher in a new era at the Hill Dickinson stadium next season after saying goodbye to Goodison Park.
David Moyes will be keen to push on, and it appears as though the Friedkin Group should have some money to invest after recent Everton developments.
However, it is also important for the Toffees to keep hold of their most important players, especially with so many first-team stars out of contract at the end of the season.

Therefore, ex-Goodison scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – doesn’t believe Everton will have any problem offering the 32-year-old a new contract, and expects talks are already underway between the two parties.
“Tarkowski will be in the starting lineup for the first league game at Hill Dickinson stadium,” King said.
“That is my prediction. Of course, contract talks will already be underway, and I imagine an offer will be forthcoming. Tarkowski has done a marvellous job, he’s been Everton’s most consistent player in recent seasons.
“Therefore, I think a further year on his contract would be a good bonus for him and the club. He is well-liked by the players and fans, and he is the man to take Everton into the new stadium.”

Tarkowski is crucial for Moyes
Before his recent injury setback, Tarkowski had played every minute in the Premier League since joining Everton from Burnley ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
The centre-back is crucial to Moyes. Therefore, with Michael Keane on his way out and Jarrad Branthwaite’s future up in the air, it is vital that Everton tie Tarkowski down to a new deal.
