Ask Me Anything

BBC Sport'sAsk Me Anything team have been answering Europa League questions. Here's one about how much the final is worth.

Winners of the 2025 Europa League, Tottenham Hotspur, could receive up to £54.4m.

That figure is a combination of prize money for winning the competition and for reaching the league phase for the 2025-26 Champions League.

Spurs are guaranteed about £21m, with additional prize money awarded based on league position and for victories and draws.

The figure of £54.4m does not include prize money earned beyond the Champions League's last 16.

Tottenham's total prize money for winning the Europa League is around £26.5m.

Included in that is £5.9m awarded to both teams for reaching the final.

Should Spurs win all eight of their league phase matches in next season's Champions League, they will receive around £14.2m in prize money. On top of that, they would be awarded around £9.3m for reaching the Round of 16, as well as extra prize money based on their final league position.

Champions League participation is crucial, because it could generate over £100m from tickets, broadcast money, and sponsor bonuses.
