Steelers Receive Aaron Rodgers Prediction From Packers’ Matt LaFleur

Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers still have not officially agreed to terms on a contract. While it has been expected the two sides would work something out this offseason, there are still nerves for fans in Pittsburgh about whether or not Rodgers will actually sign with the Steelers.

Most of those nerves come from the fact that Pittsburgh does not currently have a legitimate starting quarterback for a team that wants to be a Super Bowl contender.

Currently, the two quarterback options for the Steelers are Mason Rudolph and Will Howard. Both quarterbacks have talent, but they aren't the kind of signal callers who can power a championship run.

Even at 41 years old, Rodgers is still more than capable of being that kind of player. His production during the 2024 NFL season with the New York Jets proves that fact.

Last year, Rodgers played in all 17 games just one year removed from a torn Achilles. He completed 63 percent of his pass attempts for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

A new name has chimed in with a prediction about Rodgers' future. That new name is none other than the future Hall of Famer's former head coach with the Green Bay Packers, Matt LaFleur.

LaFleur spoke out about the situation in an appearance on the "Up & Adams Show."

"I'm pretty sure [the Steelers] know what they're doing," LaFleur said. "I'm sure they're confident in what they're doing, and I would fully expect him to be a Pittsburgh Steeler."

With LaFleur now weighing in and predicting that Rodgers will sign with Pittsburgh, nerves can be eased just a bit more.

So far this offseason, Rodgers has flown to the city to visit with the Steelers. He has also held a private throwing session with star wideout DK Metcalf, who he had nothing but great things to say about after the fact.

All signs still point to the legendary quarterback making one more run at another Super Bowl win. In Pittsburgh, he will have a legitimate chance to make that run.

Expect to hear more news and rumors about Rodgers in the coming days. It would not be surprising to see something get done between him and the Steelers soon. LaFleur sees that being the outcome.
