Everton prepare for their final Premier League match of the 2024/25 season as they head to Newcastle’s St. James’ Park on Sunday.
On the whole, it has been a successful campaign for the Toffees. Everton have successfully avoided a relegation battle, with the Merseyside club seemingly on the up under David Moyes.
Celebrations were underway at Goodison Park last weekend as they ended their tenure at the stadium with a 2-0 win over Southampton.
Now, Everton are aiming to end their season on a high as they prepare to travel to Newcastle.

Everton predicted to struggle against Newcastle
Going into the final day, Everton are certain to finish 13th in the Premier League table.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Sitting on 45 points, the Merseyside club cannot catch Crystal Palace, and Wolves are four points behind the Toffees.
In comparison, Newcastle have Champions League football on the line going into the final day.
The Magpies need a win to guarantee themselves a spot in Europe’s most prestigious competition as they remain level on points with sixth.
As a result, Opta (22 May) is predicting an easy victory for Newcastle, with the supercomputer believing that the chance of the hosts walking away with all three points is 67.5% likely.
In comparison, Everton are just 14.7% likely to get a win, while a draw is seen as a 17.8% chance.

Everton will be up against it at Newcastle
As good as it would be to see Everton win at St. James’ Park, it seems a rather daunting task.
The Toffees’ season essentially ended last weekend at Goodison Park, and the squad have quite literally nothing to play for.
On top of this, Newcastle’s home form is sensational. Going into the final day, the Magpies have the joint fourth-highest points per game at 2.11.
So far, they have won 12 of their 18 matches at St. James’ Park, only losing four matches.
However, nothing is impossible, and Everton will still believe that they can get a result if they play to their strengthens.
