Despite their devastating Europa League final defeat to Tottenham, Manchester United are set to go ahead with a team BBQ as planned.
The coming together was anticipated to be called off following the damaging loss in Bilbao. The 1-0 defeat resulted in United missing out on a Champions League spot and a £100m windfall.
Morale among the squad and coaching staff is understood to be at rock bottom after United's return to Manchester from Spain.
Nevertheless, club chiefs will go ahead with the BBQ this evening at the Carrington training base.
All members of the Utd squad, as well as some senior figures, staff and players' families, are expected to be in attendance.
However, the mood is likely to be sombre, with several star players now keen to depart United this summer.
Whether Amorim will avoid the chop remains uncertain, but insiders at the club have insisted he still has the board's support.
