How did Real Madrid qualify for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup?

Real Madrid are one of twelve European teams competing in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and qualify as one of the last three winners of the UEFA Champions League.

Los Blancos are the only team to have won Europe's biggest club prize twice in the four-year cycle that has been used to determine qualification for teams.

They won the 2022 final against Liverpool, and then repeated the feat two years later at the 2024 final where they defeated Borussia Dortmund.

Real Madrid have been drawn into Group H, alongside Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Pachuca (Mexico) and Red Bull Salzburg (Austria).

In order to reach the knockout stages, they must first successfully navigate this opening stage where the top two teams from each group will qualify.

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will begin on Saturday, June 14 when Inter Miami takes on Al Ahly FC at Hard Rock Stadium with the final scheduled for Sunday, July 13 at MetLife Stadium.

In total 32 teams will be competing at the Club World Cup with all international federations represented.
