Manchester City and Crystal Palace were both in Premier League action on Tuesday, just days after the FA Cup final on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola saw his side record a 3-1 win over Bournemouth, thanks to a stunning goal by Omar Marmoush, while Crystal Palace defeated Wolves 4-2.
During that Premier League clash at Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace aimed a jibe at Erling Haaland after their 1-0 win over Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
Crystal Palace target Erling Haaland with penalty joke
The south Londoners often do a penalty shootout at the interval involving four children – two from the section of away fans, and two Crystal Palace supporters.
As the Crystal Palace presenter prepared to let the Wolves fan take their kick, they jokingly asked whether the young fan felt brave enough to take the penalty, or whether they wanted to pass it to the other Wolves supporter instead, before making a direct reference to Haaland handing the ball to Marmoush in the FA Cup final.

The Norway international opted to let the Egypt international face Dean Henderson from 12 yards at Wembley, and the move backfired as the Crystal Palace No.1 made an excellent save.

What Ian Wright and Alan Shearer have said about Erling Haaland decision
Two Premier League legends have already lambasted the Manchester City No.9 for passing up the penalty.
Wright was scathing towards Haaland, saying on his Wrighty’s House podcast: “No, I’m not giving that to nobody… that’s your go-to guy. How many golden boots? This man is scoring goals even when he’s sleeping.
“So why are you not taking that penalty? I know you’ve missed a couple. So what? You should be taking that penalty. You’re the number nine. You’re the main guy to say, right, let me take this penalty.”

Shearer agreed with Wright, adding on The Rest is Football podcast: “Erling Haaland as well, not to want that penalty. If he is fit enough, he’s on the pitch, he’s starting the game, so it must be mentally that he’s either said he doesn’t want it or Pep doesn’t want him to take it. That there is a big surprise to me.”
Henderson has since admitted he had no idea which way the Norwegian would go, but “knew” Marmoush would kick towards the bottom left, so it was a strange move which ultimately backfired quite badly.
