Aston Villa may carefully assess the fitness situation of Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne if they are to sign him, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert has assessed the recent issues faced by the Belgium international, which have limited his game time this season.
He has made only 19 Premier League starts and will be parting ways with the Citizens this summer.

De Bruyne should clear his Villa medical
Aston Villa are understood to be monitoring the situation surrounding the 33-year-old’s future as they’re keen on securing his services.
According to the iPaper (8 May), he wants to remain in Europe amid interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and the MLS.
While Villa are keeping tabs on him, it’s understood that Napoli are the favourites to secure his services.

They will be offering him Champions League football next season, something Villa cannot assure right now, as it will hinge on the final day of the Premier League campaign.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News: “Based on the number of matches played and intensity, the club may look closer for any physical changes they aren’t comfortable with.
“Does have repeat hamstring injury, which may or may not be a yellow flag depending on specifics.
“*However, I do not see this causing any issues with his medical.*“

Aston Villa and Unai Emery will benefit from signing De Bruyne
Signing De Bruyne could undoubtedly be a game-changer for Unai Emery’s side.
The Belgian has proven himself in the Premier League for a decade and even though he may be past his prime, he can still offer something unique to Villa.
Emery has proven he can get the best out of players, as seen by how quickly Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford adapted.
De Bruyne may want Champions League football next season so a move to Napoli could tempt him but in case he wants to stay in the Premier League, Villa Park appears to be a potential destination.
