With widespread American investor interest in the Premier League another name has been linked to the [Hammers](https://www.claretandhugh.info/west-ham-revenue-set-to-plummet/) today by investment banking insiders.
The new name is that of US billionaire **Woody Johnson** who is a member of the founding family of Johnson & Johnson, owner of the New York Jets and former US ambassador to the UK.
His net wealth is thought to be around £2.5 billion, he and his family lived in Regents Park, London during his time as ambassador and he owns two large office complexes in London worth around £300m
He was a recent guest of Crystal Palace owner Steve Parish in game against Nottingham Forest with reports he could make a rival bid for Crystal Palace.
Steve Parish has reportedly put a £750m valuation for the South London club which has surprised many, but their recent FA Cup win has probably increased their value.
West Ham remains a viable alternative for American investors or consortiums so Johnson could well be a potential suitor.
Former Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick has already been linked as has Guggenheim Partners and Mark Water as part of a potential Tripp Smith US consortium.
