Garrett Wilson Issues Notable Jets 'For Life' Contract Wish

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson is about to enter his fourth season with the team in 2025.

And while things haven't gone as well as many would have expected when the Jets drafted the Ohio State star in 2022, Wilson is fully committed to building a winner out of New York. That includes looking to come to terms on an agreement for a long-term extension.

Speaking to reporters Wednesday during OTAs, the Jets star receiver made it clear he was hoping to build a winner out of his team.

"I'm hopeful that I'm a Jet for life, we get this thing rolling and all of our best days are ahead of us," Wilson said.

Things haven't been easy for Wilson during his time with the Jets. He has played with different quarterbacks in each of the last three seasons and hasn't found a consistent signal-caller to take the next step in his career with. Not even a future Hall-of-Famer like Aaron Rodgers could help him in that regard.

Wilson's frustrations were clear following the end of the 2024 season. With a new coaching staff, though, he has recommitted his efforts to the organization. And new head coach Aaron Glenn couldn't be happier.

"He's been here every day. So, when you have your best guys here every day and when you have your best guys working like that, man that speaks for itself," Glenn said.

The Jets need their best players to be on the same page going into the 2025 season. Wilson is one of those players.

And it seems that he is fully committed to building a winner.
