Man United are amongst a group of several Premier League clubs to be keeping an eye on the Ligue 1 star.

The Red Devils will need to draw up a list of players to bring in that can help Ruben Amorim produce better results in the Premier League with his side sat 16th with one game to go.

Man United target Cherki wants PL move after talks

Cherki has made a total of 44 appearances for Lyon this season, scoring 12 goals and providing 20 assists. He has been monitored by several Premier League teams, and looks most likely to move to England in the summer.

According to The Boot Room, Cherki’s representatives have had conversations with Man United, Chelsea Liverpool, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Tottenham in recent weeks. The report says that they have confirmed that Cherki’s wish to move to England will be “granted” in the summer.

Cherki reportedly has his heart set on a move to a bigger Premier League club, despite his advisors believing that a move to either Fulham or Crystal Palace would be better for his career moving forward.

The 21-year-old will be available for just £20m this summer, which is a bargain considering his talent and potential. He took to X to say goodbye to Lyon after coming through the academy and first team at the club.

Cherki could replace Garnacho

Following the Europa League Final defeat, winger Alejandro Garnacho offered a non-committal comment when it came to his future at Old Trafford. The Argentine was dropped by Amorim before the game, and he only got to see 20 minutes of action during the match.

Garnacho said after the game: “I played every round to help the team reach the final, and today I only got 20 minutes… I don’t know. I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens next.”

He has previously been linked with moves to Serie A side Napoli and Premier League rivals Chelsea amid reports that United could be forced to sell him in order to ease pressures on Profitability and Sustainability Rules.
