Aaron Nesmith Makes NBA Playoff History On Wednesday

Aaron Nesmith of the Indiana Pacers wasn’t just a headache for the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, he was a blinding migraine that wouldn’t go away.

Nesmith was sensational during the game and was unreal in the fourth quarter.

As noted by NBA on TNT, he became the first player in league history to hit six threes in the fourth quarter of a playoff game.

He ended the night with 30 points and 8-of-9 from beyond the arc.

He also earned a place in Pacers and Knicks history.

Nesmith will forever be remembered as the bogeyman who ruined the Knicks’ chances of walking away with Game 1.

The Pacers were far behind with only minutes to go, but they were able to claw back into the game because Nesmith just couldn’t miss from downtown.

Again and again, his shots seemed to find the basket with ease.

It didn’t matter if he had much time to set up his shot or if it was a catch-and-shoot – everything he touched turned to gold, and it ruined the Knicks.

NBA fans have simply never seen a performance like this before, and they probably won’t see one like it again.

Although the Pacers would love to witness Nesmith shoot like this again in Game 2 and beyond, it seems unlikely that he will.

But he will still be a huge help moving forward.

In 2024-25, Nesmith averaged 12.0 points and 4.0 rebounds on 50.7 percent from the field and 43.1 percent from the three-point line.

He did well during the regular season, but nothing suggested he was capable of the lights-out showing he had on Wednesday night.
